Modra, a city which I have been long anticipating for its rich history of ceramics. The Hutterites here started a tradition of ceramics here which has blossomed and continues to this day. There are various museums and exhibitions of pottery and ceramics in this city, so we really got our full. Have a look at some of these lovely pieces of art with the knowing that they were inspired by the Hutterite pottery and have evolved into a unique form of their own over time. Here we talk about Ignác Bizmayer. We just learned about him ourselves, and he was a very famous artist around these parts. He is directly related to the Hutterites that stayed behind in Slovakia (then called Haban), and after learning about his culture, he went on to be inspired by their ceramics and create some of these absolutely incredible pieces.
